about Aym 4 Peace
My son, Michael, was killed in a car accident in September 2006, leaving a big whole in my heart and in my life. Many of his friends experienced the same deep sadness that I felt.
When one of his girl friends became pregnant, I stepped in to give her a baby shower. I remember that one of her friends already had a baby, but didn’t have enough diapers to get through the day. I realized that young mothers can get food for their babies from various programs but they can’t get diapers or wipes or clothes for quickly growing infants and they are often left without a way to meet their babies’ needs.
That was when AYM4peace was born. We are a ministry dedicated to Assisting Young Mothers for Jesus, who is our peace. Shalom means that nothing in our lives is missing or broken. When you reach out to bless young mothers and babies, you are representing Jesus.
In addition to giving young mothers assistance by supplying things like diapers and wipes, we help them finish their high school degrees, obtain their GED’s and acquire office skills in preparation for working in a business office.
